Tibetan Youth Congress Concludes Meeting in Delhi

The 46th Working Committee Meeting of Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) passed a 25 point resolution on the last day of the meeting which began on July 24, 2015. It was attended by 130 delegates from 35 regional chapters.

The meeting focused mainly on strategies to enhance the unity of the youth organization and also reviewed works that highlighting the independent status of Tibet prior to its occupation of China to the international community.

80 year old Dege Chemi Dorjee, a former member of the Tibetan parliament-in-exile attended the meeting as an observer and was highly impressed by the proceedings of the meeting. He told VOA that the adherents of Tibetan independence are not against the Middle Way policy of the Dalai Lama and the exile Central Tibetan Administration, saying, “Those who criticize the stand of TYC are either under misunderstanding or doesn't want to take active part in the Tibetan struggle or are against the Tibetan struggle by invoking the middle way approach of His Holiness."
