The 46th working committee meeting of the Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) began at Samyeling Tibetan Colony on July 24, 2015.
Tenzing Jigme, president of the of TYC’s Central Executive Committee raised the issue of recent frictions between the center and the regional chapters of New York / New Jersey and previously with eight regional chapters in India.
Mr. Tempa Tsering, the representative of the Dalai Lama in Delhi was the chief guest of the inaugural function. He urged the youth organization to resolve their internal problems amicably in order to avoid negative impacts on the organization's unity and the respect earned over several decades.
The meeting was attended by 120 delegates from 30 regional chapters of TYC will convene until July 29.
