International Campaign for Tibet Organizes Tibet Lobby Day 2015

Washington D. C. based, Tibet rights advocate organization, International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) held its 7th annual Tibet Lobby Day on March 2 and 3 in Washington D.C. to seek U.S. Congress support for Tibetans to preserve and promote their culture, identity, human rights and also seek economic development and humanitarian assistance.

Over 80 Tibetan-Americans and friends of Tibet from 20 states participated in this year’s campaign to meet with U.S. Senators and Congressmen to apprise them of the current situation in Tibet and seek U.S. help to call on China to release Tibetan political prisoners and other pressing issues.

ICT’s Associate Director Tenchoe Gyatso tells VOA about this year’s main issues represented to the U. S. Congress during the two-day lobby.
