Lobsang Sangay, head of the Tibetan Administration in Exile presided over the Global Tibetan Entrepreneurship Conference in Mundgod, South India on December 30, 2014.
Sangay assured the Tibetan business community of assistance and cooperation from Kashag, Tibetan Cabinet based in Dharamsala, North India during the two day conference jointly organized by Empowering the Vision and Federation of Tibetan Cooperatives in India.
50 Tibetan entrepreneurs from India, Nepal, England, and Poland attended the conference to discuss ways to promote entrepreneurship in the Tibetan communities in exile.
Youdon Aukatsang, Director of Empowering the Vision said that the main purpose of holding the conference was to bring Tibetan entrepreneurs together and share ideas of conception, development, and implementation of business in the Tibetan communities all over the world.
The Dalai Lama provided the conference with a special video message where he encouraged Tibetan Entrepreneurs to venture into international market with professional guidance.
Sandeep Marwah, the Chairman of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry offered Lobsang Sangay a lifetime membership for International Peace, Development and Research Foundation. He also announced Rs.10,000 waive on 55 Tibetan students into any of the media educational organizations under his industry with 100% placement guarantee.
The two-day conference includes interactive sessions with Tibetan entrepreneurs from various sectors including real estate, hospitality, education, and IT.
