Kasur Jetsun Pema inaugurated the Maitreya Children Home of the International Maitreya Foundation, a Tibetan NGO founded by Dakpa Rinpoche on November 16 in New Delhi, India.

Jetsun Pema, the younger sister of the Dalai Lama who served for 42 years as the President of the Tibetan Childrens Village suggested Dakpa Rinpoche to send the organization's children to TCV schools and instead turn their home into hostels by providing accomodation for college going Tibetan students in the Delhi area.

Ms. Bonnie Cappuccino, Director of the organization was also present at the inaugural ceremony.

The Maitreya Foundation was established in 1997 to support disabled and disadvantaged Tibetan refugees living in India.
