Dalai Lama to Host Indian Religious Leaders Meet in Delhi


ཐད་ཀར་ཕབ་ལེན་གྱི་དྲ་འབྲེལ།

The Dalai Lama is scheduled to host a two day meeting of Indian religious leaders to promote understanding and harmony among the different religious persuasions from September 20 to 22 in New Delhi, India.

Mr. Tempa Tsering, Representative of the Dalai Lama in Delhi, who is also the chief coordinator of the event says, “The Dalai Lama has always said that India is a model for religious harmony. He believes Indian religious leaders need to come together to contribute to social well being of the country, and help tackle social issues.”

Representatives of Shankaracharyas, and several other Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jew, and Parsi leaders are expected to attend the event.
