Delhi Arrests Tibetan Youth Activists During Xi Jinping's India Visit

11 Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) college going activists were arrested while protesting in front of the China Embassy in New Delhi during the first day of the Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to India on September 17, 2014.

A similar protest demonstration was held at Samyeling Tibetan Colony, Majnu Tilla, Delhi as the Tibetan residents were not allowed to hold protests at Jantar Manter, central part of New Delhi.

Strict movement restrictions were placed in Delhi where Tibetans are living.

Tibetan Youth Congress based in Dharamsala, northern India, who were the organizers of this protest, has over 35,000 members worldwide, and works towards freedom and independence of Tibet and the Tibetan people.
