Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, has offered condolences to the lives lost and injured due to the massive monsoon rains and flood that took over the northern state of India and Pakistan.
Over 400 people in India and Pakistan have been killed in the floods which have engulfed the mountainous region a week ago, devastating villages and towns, destroying roads and bridges on both sides. Tens of thousands people remain stranded, waiting to be rescued.
The Dalai Lama Trust has also offered a donation to Omar Abdullah, the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir's flood relieve fund to assist with the area's recovery.
