The Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in collaboration with the Publication Section of Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration brought out a new software called Ngamrin Tendar (MDict), with 13 books currently available to download.
'It is meant for the youth of this digital age," said Acharya Karma Monlam, Head of Publication Department during the launch event yesterday, held at the LTWA conference hall in Dharamsala, northern India.
Ngamring Lobsang Tendar, the editor of this compilation, who spent more than 20 years of his life working on these softwares did a presentation for the audience regarding the use of his app on computers and mobile devices. The application is available in Mac, Windows, and Androids gadgets.
At the function, Geshe Lhakdor, Director of LTWA and Mr Topgyal Tsering, Secretary of Department of Education applauded the hard work of Tendar and urged him to continue with the required upgrades.
Tendar plans to make some changes to the software, by bringing other versions that interested buyers would need to access from app stores.
