The Tibetan Youth Congress based in Dharamsala, northern India held a press conference regarding a three point resolution for its eight regional chapters passed at the last general body meeting, held in Gangtok, Capital of Indian State of Sikkim from August 11-16, 2014.

The conference was led by the President of TYC Tenzing Jigme, its Vice President Tamding Richoe, and General Secretary Tashi Lamsang.

Tashi Lamsang read out a press release with details on TYC headquarter's outreach to their eight regional chapters through letters, phone calls and by traveling to each places to engage in a dialogue.

The eight chapters have reached a consensus to change the organization's name by removing the regional, while "amendeding the aims and objectives of the organization."

In a phone conversation with Janyen Lakyab, Co-ordinator of the eight chapters regarding their reaction to this resolution, he said, they will hold a meeting over the issue and speak about it after that.
