Around 30 executive members of 7 chapters of Bharat Tibbat Sahayog Manch (Indian Tibet Support Group) celebrated Indian festival called Raksha Bandhan (symbolic tying of protection thread on the wrist) with Tibetans at the Samyeling Tibetan Colony, Majnu Tila, Delhi.

"On this day, to defeat the demonic China, we will take strong commitment to do all the activities jointly," said Mr. Pankaj Goel, President of Bharat Tibbat Sahayog Manch, while addressing the celebratory gathering during the eve of the festival on August 9, 2014.

Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok, member of the Tibetan parliament in exile, addressed the gathering, and gave a brief introduction of the Indian Tibet support groups and particularly this organisation which was formed with the blessings of the Dalai Lama in 1999.
