Outcome of Tibetan Parliamentary Delegation's Lobbying Efforts in Delhi
From July 14 to 16, five member Tibetan parliamentary delegation has met a number of prominent Indian parliamentarians in New Delhi and apprised them on the current situation inside Tibet, and the need for more support from them. The delegation also submitted a 5-point petition to the members of the Indian Parliament, urging India to help the resumption of dialogue between the Dalai Lama’s representatives and Chinese government. Table Talk invites a member of the delegation, Chidue Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok, Program Director of Delhi based Tibetan Parliamentary and Policy Research Center to discuss the significance and outcome of this lobby effort.
