With the goal of helping the needy Tibetans, Phurbu T. Namgyal, a Tibetan Pop Artist started the OM Charitable Projects in 2013, and so far a number of sick Tibetan patients in India have been able to receive benefits from this initiative. Namgyal tells VOA that the goal of this project is to help the poor and sick Tibetans in India and Nepal, while inspiring other Tibetans to take part in the welfare of the poor and needy Tibetans everywhere. He has also launched an online portal called dumra.com recently to share and preserve Tibetan language, art, and culture. It is meant primarily for Tibetans kids and parents alike who are scattered around the world and do not have an easy and joyful means of learning Tibet’s culture and language. Table Talk discusses the importance, impacts, and ideas behind these two projects with its founder, Phurbu T. Namgyal.
