Dalai Lama Urges Young Tibetans to be Good, Honest, and Compassionate

Excerpts from the Dalai Lama’s address to Tibetan communities in San Francisco, and Minnesota on Feb 27 and March 2, respectively. Summary: To the Tibetan communities of the Bay area and Minnesota, which consists mostly of young Tibetans, the Dalai Lama commended the courage and dedication of Tibetans inside Tibet, and also of the older generation for maintaining and passing the rich Tibetan culture to the younger generation. He had, at each venue, urged the young Tibetans to keep the Tibetaness in themselves, which means being good and honest, and compassionate, and learning Tibetan language and culture, and working to fulfill the aspirations of the fellow Tibetans inside Tibet.
