Tibetan College Graduate Recounts Time at Dalai Lama’s Lamrim Teachings
Interview with Chemi Dolkar, 23, from Connecticut, on her experience of attending the recent Lamrim teachings of the Dalai Lama held at Sera Monastery, South India, which was reportedly attended by over 30,000 devotees. Dolkar said that it was her second time attending the Lamrim Teachings, and her first trip to the Tibetan settlements at Bylakuppe, South India. Dolkar, who made this trip to specifically attend the teachings of the Dalai Lama, found it very educative, inspiring, and productive. She said she also enjoyed learning and experiencing various aspects of Tibetan culture and interacting with little monks. She found the little monks devoted to their teachers and serious with their monastic education. Dolkar plans to return to India next year for the same series of the Dalai Lama’s teachings.
