Chinese Ministry Expresses Concerns about Cancer Villages

Recent Chinese government acknowledgement of the existence of “cancer villages” shows how serious the environmental pollution in China has reached for people’s health. “Poisonous and harmful chemical materials have brought about many water and atmosphere emergencies,” wrote in its five year plan, according to AFP. “Certain places are even seeing ‘cancer villages.” Today many Tibetans, who have not experienced such thing as air pollution in their lives, visit China quite often and it is important for them to understand the seriousness of air and water pollution in that part of the world.
