Lobsang Sangay, head of the Tibetan administration in exile, launched "UMAYLAM: Middle Way Approach," a global awareness campaign on the Middle Way Policy.
Sangay presented the Dalai Lama with the materials related to the Middle Way Approach, an official policy of the Tibetan Administration in Exile to resolve the issue of Tibet, at the end of Tibetan youth teaching at the Tibetan Children's Village School, Dharamsala, North India.
Sangay also launched their new website www.middlewayapproach.org, and a seven minute documentary to inform policy of the approach effectively by making the materials easily accessible.
“With the Middle Way Approach Campaign, we are trying to engage the international community – young people, diplomats, media, people from all walks of life across different nations — to counter the Chinese government’s misinformation campaign about the policy," said Sangay.
Since 1979, there have been 9 Rounds of Talks and four fact-finding delegations to Tibet, but since the talks discontinued in 2010, there has been no further development.
