The Dalai Lama has started his four-country European tour of Latvia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, and Germany from September 9 to 19, 2013.
Upon the Dalai Lama’s arrival in Riga, Latvia’s capital on September 8, 2013 he was welcomed by Tibetans, Latvians, and foreign tourist well wishers. He is scheduled to give a public talk at the Riga Arena on ‘The Culture of Compassion,’ on September 9, 2013.
He is expected to give a talk on ‘The Path to Peace and Happiness in a Global Society’ at Vilnius, Lithuania a day later on September 10.
His visit after that would consist of Czech Republic from September 14 to 17, where he is scheduled to join hundred global leaders at the ‘Forum 2000 Conference’ to discuss challenges and threats concerning democratic transitions.
