The 26th Task Force meeting on Sino-Tibetan negotiation has concluded in Dharamsala, India on September 7, 2013.

During a press conference at Lhakpa Tsering Hall of Upper Tibetan Children’s Village School in Dharamsala, Thupten Samphel, the spokesperson of the Task Force read out the press release issued by Kashag, Tibetan Cabinet where the discussion of the Task Force meeting was stated as the overall grave situation in Tibet including the self-immolations.

Samphel further added that the "Task Force also analyzed substantive discourse in China - on ethnic issues in general and particularly in Tibet."

The 26th Task Force meeting welcomed six new members, including Professor Samdong Rinpoche, the former head of the Tibetan administration in exile.

The next Task Force meeting will be convened early next year.
