Tibetan Finance Minister Addresses the Tibetan Chamber of Commerce Meeting

Tibetan Chamber of Commerce Meeting in Delhi

Central Tibetan Administration's Minister of Fiance addressed the 7th annual general meeting of Tibetan Chamber of Commerce at India International Centre, New Delhi on May 2, 2013.

Kalon Tsering Dhundup urged the Tibetan business community to strengthen the Chamber of Commerce organisation.

"I have no manuals to present, but I think, organisational development is very important to sustain the Chamber of Commerce" said Paljor Kalon and cautioned the Tibetan business community to practice business with ethics.

Kalon Dhondup advised business men to further explore areas on social entrepreneurship by targeting the bottom of the pyramid [lowest social strata].

"By targeting the bottom of the pyramid, one can benefit society and the business. Social entrepreneurship is a blend of profit objective and social objective," he said.

The TCC President Kelsang Norbu presented the general aims and objectives of the organisation after the annual activity of TCC was presented by the general secretary Tenzin Wangchuk.

The 2-day meeting of TCC centred on discussions on business development and to create business space in Tibetan society in collaboration with Netherlands' PUM organisation. 30 delegates from different parts of India and Nepal attended the event.
