Chinese authorities have blocked Tibetans from participating in rescue and relief efforts in Yagnga (Ch:Ya'an) in Sichuan province where a devastating magnitude of 7.0 earthquake hit early Saturday.

The death and missing toll in the Sichuan region has climbed past 208 and more than 11000 people have been affected from the calamity.

Saturday’s quake was measured a magnitude-7 by Chinese authorities and 6.6 by the U.S. Geological Survey. It struck on the same fault line as a devastating 2008 Wenchuan earthquake that left nearly 90,000 people dead.
