The Tibetan Parliament in Dharamsala today concluded its 5th session where the house discussed and approved the annual budget of the Central Tibetan Administration for the year 2013-2014.
The parliament sanctioned a total of Indian Rupee 1280,329,262.00 for the exile administration and its various branches and settlements for the fiscal year 2013-14.
Pema Jungney, a member of the parliament said that with over 97 new programs and projects, this year's budget allocation is 23 percent more than the last fiscal year.
In his concluding statement, Speaker Penpa Tsering reviewed the proceedings of the ten-day session and advised both the parliamentarians and the Tibetans to the pay attention to the developments around the world, especially in China.
The parliament also passed a unanimous resolution to honor and stand in solidarity with the Tibetans who have self-immolated in China protest.
