VOA Interviews: Tenzin Sonam, Founder Webmaster of Tibetsites.com

Tenzin Sonam launched www.tibetsites.com as a personal initiative in 2006 while working full time in the digital publishing department of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in Dharamsala, India. His vision for the website was to create a singular central place where anyone could find anything related to Tibet that’s on the internet. Tibetsites has 20 subject categories and over 4000 listings that include websites from both inside and outside Tibet, and sites in Tibetan, Chinese, and several other languages. With an average visitor rate of 3,500 in a 24 hour period, Tenzin Sonam’s site is working hard to connect people around the world to information and resources on Tibet.
