Tibetan exile leader Lobsang Sangay today announced a four-day solidarity campaign in Delhi starting January 30th.

At a prayer service to express solidarity with the Tibetan self-immolators, Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay appealed to all Tibetans to “strengthen and amplify” solidarity campaigns.

Tsering Tashi also known as Tsebey died on January 12, 2013 after he set himself on fire protesting against the Chinese government’s repressive policies at Amchok, Sangchu county.

Passang Lhamo, a 62-year-old native of Keygudo, self-immolated on September 13th last year at Beijing, protesting against land grabbing by Chinese authorities.

Since 2009, 97 Tibetans have self-immolated demanding freedom and the return of the Dalai Lama from exile.

Today's prayer service was attended by Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay, members of the Kashag, the Tibetan chief justice commissioners, members of the Tibetan parliament and hundreds of local Tibetans and Tibet supporters.
