23 years old Tsepak Kyab set himself on fire in Sangkok town around 8pm local time on Friday, making his self-immolation the fifth incidence from Sangchu County since Saturday. Another Tibetan man named Lhamo Tseten burned himself around 2:30 pm earlier today calling for freedom in Tibet and return of the Dalai Lama to Tibet.
Tsepak Kyab’s present condition is unknown. He has been married to his wife Dawa Dolma, 18, for almost a year. Five Tibetans from Sangchu county have set themselves on fire since last Saturday. At least 60 Tibetans have set themselves on fire to protest Chinese policy in Tibet since February 2009.
China has long accused Tibetan exiles of self-immolating as part of a separatist struggle, denouncing them as terrorists, while representatives of the Dalai Lama say protesters are driven to self-immolate because they cannot tolerate China's repressive policies.
