The Dalai Lama today concluded his three-day teaching on Shantideva's "A Guide to the Boddhisattva's Way of Life" at the main temple in Dharamsala.
Requested by a group of Southeast Asians including some Chinese, the teachings is a continuation from previous year's teachings given to Southeast Asian students. This year's teaching started from the 5th chapter onwards.
The buddhist leader today bestowed Tara Empowerment to the thousands of followers and asked them to commit themselves in Bodhicitta practise. At the end of the teaching, the southeast Asian devotees recited a long life prayer for the Dalai Lama.
The group of southeast Asian students were given a special question and answer session with the Tibetan spiritual leader in the afternoon. Dalai Lama will continue with the teachings of Shantideva's "A Guide to the Boddhisattva's Way of Life" next year.
The teaching was being attended by over 5000 people from 55 different countries.
