A young Tibetan from Gonjo in Kham protested China’s repressive regime in Tibetan areas during a Chinese official’s visit to the area.

Sources say Ngawang shouted slogans calling for long life of the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama and marched with a Tibetan flag, banned in China.

Chinese police arrested Ngawang and his whereabouts are not known, according to exile sources with contacts in the area.
