Tserng Wangyal Shawa: Geographic Information Systems Librarian, Princeton

Tsering Wangyal is responsible for and teaches the design and management of the digital cartographic and Geospatial Information Service (GIS) at Princeton University. Wangyal has over the years developed a keen interest in maps of Tibet, their history and their evolution over time. He told VOA that it was the general lack of interest and research on maps of Tibet, that drove him initially to study them.
