Tenzin Younden: Film Actor and Ex TIPA Performer

Darjeeling born Tenzin Younden was 12 years old in 1995 when he was selected to join the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts in Dharamsala, India where he remained for 16 years, training in and performing traditional Tibetan music and dance. Younden’s acting talent landed him major roles in the films Semshook and Richard Gere is My Hero, and he talks to VOA about the challenges of being an actor in the exile Tibetan community.
