Lobsang Sangay, head of the Tibetan Administration in Exile, released a new book on 'Current leaders in Tibet' by the Tibet Policy Institute, while simultaneously launching their new website, 'tibetpolicy.net' at a press conference at the Kashag conference hall, Dharamsala, North India on April 16, 2014.

Additional Secretary Phagpa Tsering of TPI, who is the main editor of the book, said that the main objective in bringing out the 311 paged book is to highlight the number of Tibetan and Han nationals holding positions in powerful seats in the Tibetan areas, and to bring out a clear understanding of the leader's backgrounds.

The book documents the leadership structure in the Tibet Autonomous Region, Tibet Autonomous Prefectures, and the Tibetan areas.

Lobsang Sangay said that the book would present a clear picture of the leadership structure, which may serve useful to researchers and journalists in helping them understand the leaders in Tibet and China in the long run. At the same occasion, Sangay launched TPI's new website, which contains the audio and visual of the meetings they have hosted, analytical articles on Tibet related issues by the fellows, and monthly discussions on different issues with various specialists.
