The Tibetan Parliament-in-exile today announced the launch of a torch rally called ‘Flame of Truth’ next Friday, coinciding on the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama’s birthday. The torch is to set forth from northern Indian region Ladakh and to travel different countries around the world, in a campaign to call on United Nations to intervene in the Tibetan human rights situation.
The relay will conclude on the World Human Rights Day on December 10.
