Dalai Lama Begins Three Day Teaching to South East Asians


ཐད་ཀར་ཕབ་ལེན་གྱི་དྲ་འབྲེལ།

The Dalai Lama began a three-day teaching at the main temple of Tsuk-lag-Khang, Dharamsala, northern India on Shantideva's Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life (chodjug) on September 24, 2014.

The teaching is organized at the request of a group of Southeast Asians, who hail from different countries in the region including Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

The Dalai Lama spoke on the promotion of basic human values and religious harmony, during which he urged all his followers to take universal responsibilities in spreading compassion to effectively bring global harmony.

The teaching is attended by over 6000 people from 62 countries including 800 followers from South East Asia.

The teachings which are being simultaneously translated into English, Hindi, Russian, Vietnamese, and Chinese, are also being streamed live at www.dalailama.com.

The teaching is scheduled to conclude on September 26, 2014.
