The Department of Education of Central Tibetan Administration based in Dharamsala, India concluded its two-day special meeting to discuss the basic education policies and obstacles faced by schools while implementing them, on August 28, 2014.

The meeting was attended by heads of 10 Sambhota Schools and TCV Jangthang, Ladakh.

The heads of the respective schools read out reports on how they implement the education policies in their schools followed by a discussion on the obstacles faced during implementation, and the importance of exploring effective solutions to overcome the barriers.

The group brought out 11 point resolution that highlighted the need for more qualified teachers, innovative methods, educated parents, and children's book in Tibetan.
