Sikyong Urges Kirti Graduates to Serve Tibetan Community

Sikyong Lobsang Sangay, head of the Tibetan administration in exile, applauded the graduates of Kirti Monastery, and urged them to utilize their education in serving the Tibetan Community during their graduation ceremony on August 13, 2014.

Addressing the ceremony, Sangay stressed on the importance of modern and traditional education, and praised Kirti Rinpoche and monastery for preserving Tibetan culture and religion in exile, while taking active initiatives in spreading awareness about the grave situation inside Tibet over the last few years.

He also spoke on importance of 'Middle Way Approach' as the most pragmatic path to solve the crisis in Tibet.

Venerable Lobsang Gyatso, Principle of the Kirti Tibetan Education Center, shared the aims and objectives of the institution and their teaching system.

Graduates from Uma and Pharchin classes were given the certifates by Lobsang Sangay, who later toured the exhibition of more than 140 books published by the Kirti Monastery.
