Over a hundred Tibetans gathered at the Club House, conference hall of Bhagsu Hotel, Dharamsala, North India to commemorate 50 years of Tibetan United Association on April 23, 2014.

Tenzin Dakpa, President of the Tibetan United Association briefed the gathering about the aims and objectives of setting the association.

Penpa Tsering, Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile, stressed on the importance of having a mutual understanding and cooperation to work successfully as an association of all three provinces of Tibet. He further shared the drawbacks of not having a deep understanding of our political situations and urged everyone to put more attention to the works of their elected leaders, while checking their accountability.

Penpa Tsering also guided the present executives members in strengthening the association politically and financially.

The Tibetan United Association was formed in 1964 in Darjeeling. They have launched a book which has details of the association.
