Dorjee, a native of Dowa town in Rebkong, Malho Prefecture, Qinghai province was charged on August 13, 2013 for his involvement with the self-immolation protest from November 2012 and sentenced to a two and half years in prison.
Dorjee's charge also included his engagement with the pro-independence protests and his role in founding 'Ghangsol Gyunzin Tsokpa,'an organization aiming to preserve the Tibetan culture.
Dorjee is a student of the Rebkong intermediate school, and is currently believed to be held at a detention center in Xiling, Qinghai Province.
