A 26-year-old Tibetan monk in Gade county of Golog prefecture in Qinghai is has been detained for releasing a book on the wave of Tibetan self-immolations.
Sources say police took Tritsun without giving any reason for his arrest on March 11. Tritsun's current whereabouts is unknown.
Tritsun's book called “Denpai Khalang” (Breath of Truth), features essays on the ongoing self-immolation protests by Tibetans and biography of Lama Soepa, who belonged to Tongkyap Monastery, the same monastery as Trisun. Tongkyap Monastery is reportedly under massive police clampdown since Sunday with around 100 security personnel stationed at the monastery’s compound.
