Kunleng discusses the rise of the Jonang religious tradition, how it became caught between Tibet’s political power struggle in the 17th century, the conversion of Jonang to Geluk by the 5th Dalai Lama, and the 14th Dalai Lama’s efforts to revive the tradition in exile.
