TEXT SIZE - +
This year’s Bjornson Festival of international literature, held each year in Norway,  will feature an event focusing on the plight of Tibetan writers and the heavy restrictions on expression that they have to endure or pay the price for transgressing them.

Chungdak Koran, representating the Norwegian Tibet Committee, and Dechen Pemba, Editor of High Peaks Pure Earth, a website that publishes English translations of Tibetan writings, will highlight the key issues related to the subject.

Chungdak Koren will outline the current situation of Tibet and  the exile Tibetan Administration’s policy, and Dechen Pemba will talk about the state of Tibetan literature and the suppressed but emerging voices of Tibetan writers, poets and singers.
