Prominent writers from the Tibetan exile community held a day-long creative writing workshop for high school students from Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) School in Dharamsala.

Bhuchung Sonam, Tenzin Tsundue, and Tsering Wangmo shared their writing inspirations, challenges and experiences with students of TCV and later held an interactive question and answer session with the students.

The group will tour different Tibetan schools in Himachal Pradesh in the next five days.

The event was jointly organized by Tibetan Children’s Village School and Tibet, non-governmental organization promoting writings on Tibet by Tibetans.

Bhuchung D. Sonam last month published his latest book, Yak Horns, a collection of his essays on contemporary Tibetan arts and social issues. Tenzin Tsundue is an activist who has written award-winning poems. Tsering Wangmo Dhompa is the first Tibetan female poet to be published in English.
