Medical Training Program for Local Women Health Workers in Yushu

Tibetan medicine is often the most trusted, cheapest and accessible medicine available. However as nomads are getting more exposed to new diseases, modern preventative medicine and methods becomes a crucial preventive resource.

Phuntsok Wangyal, founder of Tibet Foundation in London, says his organization has started a five-year program to provide practical health trainings focused on Tibetan medicine and modern preventative methods for the local women health workers in Yushu.
