Tibetans Association of Oregon and Southwest Washington organized a week long prayer offering for long life of the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama.
Maha Guru Boom Tsok organized from June 29-July 5 held group prayer offerings and a series of Buddhist teachings. Monks from Namgyal Monastery in Ithaca led the prayer ceremony.
Ven. Ngalo Rinpoche, one of the organizers from Nyen Gyud Samten Choeling Center, said the prayer was organized for world peace and long life of the Dalai Lama.
