Interview with Kasur Lobsang Nyandak, Executive Director, Tibet Fund, on its upcoming summer program for Tibetan youth over 17 years of age. Nyandak said that the month-long program starts on July 1 and those interested in joining it should apply to his office by June 1. He also said the program is the first of its type, and a result of Tibet Fund collaborating with College of Higher Studies, Sarah, near Dharamsala, India. The program will provide an opportunity to young Tibetans, born or brought up in the west to the Tibetan culture, history and civilization, and hopes that the students will gain an in-depth understanding of their cultural heritage by participating in the program. Nyandak said that early applicants have already contacted the Tibet Fund for this program, and expects more applicants to come in the days and weeks ahead. The program will accept only 30 students on a first-come, first- served basis.
