This year’s 9th Tibet Studies Conference was held in Lab Monastery in Kham Khegudo from July 21-25. Tibetan scholars, researchers, academicians and artists from different parts of Tibet took part in this five-day conference and deliberated on a topics ranging from Dalai Lama’s thoughts, Buddhism and its relevance, Tibetan Unity, Women’s Empowerment, etc,. In India, Tibetan youths from various academic institution gathered in Sara College near Dharamsala for the 6th Tibet Studies Conference from August 1-4. The conference participants discussed some twenty different topics ranging from Tibetan language, history and medicine. Table Talk discusses the issues deliberated in these two conferences.
