Recently Tibetan Children’s Village School (TCV) celebrated its 55th founding anniversary in the presence of Gyalwang Karmapa and many other dignitaries from Central Tibetan Administration. TCV was initially started with a group of 51 children in 1960 and since then, over the last 55 years it has become one of the biggest educational institution in exile Tibetan community. Many of the children who have graduated from TCV are now serving in Tibetan communities in various capacities. Table Talk invites TCV’s Director Ngodup Wangdue to reflect on some of the major achievements of TCV during its 55 years of service as well as the challenges facing TCV now.
