Traveling Far and Wide to Greet the Dalai Lama in Alabama

Interview with Ngawang Chemi, Vice President, Tibetan Association of MN, and Ven. Tenzin Deshek, the lone Tibetan resident in Birmingham, Alabama, who hosted many of the out-of-town Tibetans during the just-concluded first ever visit of the Dalai Lama to Alabama. Chemi said that his group consisted of nearly 200 Tibetans, who traveled by air, bus and private cars, eager to show their respect and gratitude to the Dalai Lama.
