Kunsang Dolma interviews Khenpo Tsultrim, resident Buddhist teacher at the  Drikhung Kagyue Buddhist Center based in Maryland, on the Buddhist practice of “Eight Verses for Training the Mind.” (Lojong Tsig-gyaema, in Tibetan) It was composed by Kadampa Geshe Langri Thangpa. Khenpo Tsultrim says Geshe Langri Thanpa was born in central Tibet at a place called Langthang. His real name was Dorje Senge, and although Geshe Langri Thangpa was an important figure in the lineage of the Kadampa tradition, his 'Eight Verses for Training the Mind' is highly revered and practiced by all Tibetan Buddhist schools.
