Gyawang Karmapa Discusses His Newly Released Book

Gyawang Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorjee talks about his latest book, The Heart is Noble: Changing the World from the Inside Out. Released in New Delhi on June 18, 2013, the book is the result of a month-long conversation between the Karmapa and a group of American university students who travelled to Dharamsala in 2011. The book explores a worldview and outlook based on the principle of universal interdependence, and urges individuals and communities to adopt a sense of ethical responsibility in caring for the larger society and the planet. The 17th Karmapa also looks at the great challenges confronting the world today, ranging from more just food distribution, gender inequalities and solutions to the scores of conflicts raging around the world.
