Video Khenpo Kunga: Monk and Scholar of Western Psychology and Philosophy

Originally from Dege, Tibet, Khenpo Kunga is perhaps the only Tibetan monk to have studied psychology and western philosophy at a US university. Escaping to India in 1993, he studied at Dzongsar Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö Institute where he received his Khenpo degree. He says that while both western and Tibetan mind sciences and philosophies seek to enhance contentment in society, Tibetan Buddhism’s purview goes well beyond the present life.
