Cervical Cancer and Its Prevention

The month of January is observed as cervical cancer awareness month in the U.S. According to the American Cancer Society, The exile Tibetan government launched an awareness campaign on the disease in November 2015. According to Dr. Tenzin Desay of Delek hospital in Dharamsala, exile Tibetan communities are today encouraged to get vaccines—U.S. Center for Disease Control recommends the vaccine for girls age 11 to 12.
